Cultural Promotions
Event Managers and venues will now have the opportunity to offer the warmth and hospitality of one of the many cultures represented by the Lingua Franca World Music Agency, thanks to a series of promotional packages put together in conjunction with Broadcaster and Presenter Geli of the Cultural Collage radio show on ALL FM 96.9.
Our existing packages consist of the following format:
8pm: Guests arrive to live acoustic musician or gentle DJ set.
9pm: First Live Band Set (Dance Style)
9.45pm: DJ Set/Informal Dance Tuition
10.15pm: Second Live Band Set (Dance Style)
11pm-12.30am: DJ playing dance tunes to end of night (will play later by arrangement)

Package 1: One night in Africa
The evening consists of an hour's warm up of slow to medium tempo African tunes from a live musician or one of our Cosmopolitan Nights DJs, while guests arrive. Then comes the first of two live sets from our resident African musicians and their enthralling dancers. The dancing will continue to African dance classics until the second band set and the evening will finish with dancing to African music until your carriages arrive.
Package 2: The Arabic Experience
Come and experience a real Egyptian Hafla, with live music from Arabic Dance band and interactive belly dancing with our seductive belly dancers. Once again one of the Cosmopolitan Nights DJs will warm up the evening and then the party will truly begin. Learn some traditional Arabic line dances, courtesy of our band and their friends. A totally unforgettable experience!
Package 3: The sound of the Samba
Ever fancied going to Rio for the sounds of the Samba - then this evening is for you. We have Samba dancer direct from Brazil to teach you the latest steps and some of the best Brazilian musicians in the UK to get you on your feet. Oh yes, and the Cosmopolitan Nights DJs know something about Brazil too, so expect a wide range of Bossa, Samba and MPB classic to be played between the live sets.
Package 4: The Gypsy Experience
Picture the scene - glasses raised in celebration, the wine flowing and all the romance and excitement of live gypsy musicians and dancing the ingredients of a totally bewitching evening which doesn't even involve you having to set foot in an airport! Our Cosmopolitan Nights DJ warm up includes Klezmer and Roma tunes and Eastern European beats to set the mood of the evening.
Package 5: Our Caribbean Cocktail
Those Caribbean islands provide our theme for this package. Live music comes courtesy of one of Lingua Franca's authentic Caribbean acts.. Think original roots reggae music with a message and covers from the likes of Bob Marley et al, complete with female backing singers to match the Wailers - and all backed up with tunes from those ever ready Cosmopolitan Nights DJs playing a medley of Caribbean lovelies, from Zouk to Dancehall, Soca and yet more Reggae! Are you ready to jump up or wind down?
Package 6: The Asian Experience
From Dhol drums to Bhangra - this is the modern Asian experience, with some traditional Indian music dance thrown in for good measure. So whether you just want to watch or get on your feet, we have the performers to suit every taste. And yes, you guessed it - Indian and Bhangra music from our very own Cosmopolitan Nights DJs.
Packages are available from £2,000 upwards.
